    1. I think that's it? Now to redo the whole thing in @CuttleXYZ that @nkint just told me about😁

Done! Now I have two untested versions of this 😅 cuttle.xyz/@s_ol/Laser-Cut-Vacuum-Stencil-Box-9FuQHLNnFKxh

It totally works! thanks @mariusheier & @unexpectedmaker for documenting that this is even possible. In the end there isn't even any glue in the joints, I just measured the kerf values to get a rather tight fit and it's more than enough suction to keep everything down :)

My setup is far from perfect: It took me three attempts to make a PCB holder that even fits my PCB, and it's still not actually flush with the surface but none of that actually matters since my PCB has enough holes to act as a vacuum table itself.

Also really happy with @CuttleXYZ for designing this. There's some adjustments I want to make before sharing it more publicly; The stencil lifter mechanism doesn't work atm and I don't like that the corners of the holder are unsupported.

In any case this is already looking wayyy better than the "tape and other PCBs as a spacer" method. Keeping the stencil down across the whole board with that method was completely impossible and I always ended up with smudged areas.

Also just printed a longer hose attachment so the stencil doesn't get bent upwards anymore. This version also has a lip for registration against the box, all done in OpenSCAD in the end (tried FreeCAD and cadquery but both failed at hollowing out the loft in the end)
