    @doctroid odd, what git version? The SmartHTTP access is handled by dulwich (github.com/jelmer/dulwich), don't know much about it's internals but didn't have issues so far

      @doctroid the URLs ending in ".git" are HTTP 301 redirects, but not 0-byte. The URL it redirects to is a web interface that lets you browse the repo.
