  1. Posting your mistakes is important, right? Here's two #cnf "big oof" moments from today. This first one was neglicence. Reaction time: 8/10 Damage done: unclear. Cutter seems mostly fine but I can't imagine the spindle liked this

      Oopsie number two: The first fuck-up obscured the fact that I *also* forgot to zero the Z. Reaction time: -2/10 - didn't notice how deep it plunged until the sound got weird later Damage done: none, thankfully. Really glad I didn't do either one with the 2mm mill

        Trying to continue after #2 I also learned that in some circumstances the soft X max doesn't work and I can lose steps (a lot, too). I was surprised how well it was chewing through everything on that deep cut after the plunge too, I guess I could/should run it harder in general

          Called it quits after these, I realized I was trying to rush it. I probably should have taken more time after the first mistake to completely reset and check all my assumptions. Overall very educational failure!
