@mathgrrl @memotv oh my god, this one was not part of my neuroscience lectures and I can relate so much 😮 It is basically impossible for me to imagine the face of someone, not my mother, not my own, not my partners.

@mathgrrl @memotv Some details make it through and I get the "vibe" of that person (feels like this would be the affection part that people with Capgras are lacking?) but I can't recall any visual details I haven't consciously noted previously.

@mathgrrl @memotv In the past I have described my minds eye as "touch based" because with no or very low intensity visual imagination thinking about objects sometimes feels like sliding my hands around them in that I trace them detail by detail

@mathgrrl @memotv When I used to practice Lucid Dreaming, a lot of guides suggest strong visual imaginations as techniques and I had a lot of trouble with that. I ended up "imagining I was imagining [something visual]" and that worked better 😄

@mathgrrl @memotv for your question @memotv: I also think so. My thinking (and dreaming) is very symbol-heavy and this probably contributed a lot to where my interests are today (or the other way around, or both ways)
