SDF titans: how can I build a better pineapple top without iterating and combining multiple leaf primitives? polar-modulo hasn't been working well because of the overlapping regions near the center (and the same problem applies top-to-bottom if i bend, then assemble).On twitter.com

Is there way to make a full-on polar SDFs primitive work? I guess I can solve the y-overlap by first stacking y-flat leaves using modulo and then distorting my position vector before accessing that?Permalink On twitter.com
